A warming soup, a tasty confit duck salad, zingy risotto or pan fried scallops… just a few examples of how we like to kick off proceedings.
Maybe a French inspired filet mignon de porc en croute, slow cooked lamb, a spicy thai curry, something fishy, or just a good old fashioned steak & ale pie. All freshly prepared by the team (Josie & Xavier)!
I don’t think anyone has yet to stay in Chez Robert and not try Xavier’s tarte-tatin – maybe this is why we get so many guests coming back? Or is it the pavlova, chocolate soup, limoncello semi-fredo or the ever so light sticky toffee pudding?
Tomme, Beaufort, Brezian, Blue de Bonneval to name but a few….. so many amazing local cheeses to try. Offered to you every evening with a glass of port.
Coffee & chocs or perhaps now is a good time for a mint tea.
